New iMessage App and iOS 10 support

MathX 2.3 is now available on the App Store. This major update brings great new features, including full support for iOS 10, a powerful iMessage app, and a redesigned Widget.

A tour of MathX iMessage app

iOS 10 introduces the ability for third-party developer to create iMessage app. With the MathX iMessage app, you can make calculations or access to your history without having to leave the Messages app. Let's take a look at how it works.

All-new Keyboard

MathX iMessage App includes our all-new keyboard. This new keyboard allows you to turn your keyboard into a trackpad on 3D Touch devices and brings alternative and smart keys.

Smart keys try to find which character is the most appropriate for the current context. For example, the smart key "( )" will try to find which parentheses is necessary.

We take our time to design the keyboard to take advantage of each screen size. For example, on iPhone 6 Plus and later, the keyboard includes additional keys you may find useful. You can see these keys when you hold iPhone in landscape orientation.

On the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, the keyboard includes more keys, as well as useful shortcuts.

Our new keyboard will be available later in the app. We're really excited about it and we hope you’ll enjoy using it.

In the expanded mode, you have access to your history. It shows calculations performed in the app, the Widget, and the iMessage app.

Haptic Feedback Support

MathX iMessage app take full advantage of the Taptic Engine. You'll get a tap when you slide your finger over each alternative key. Press the keyboard and you'll get a double tap (even on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus). And you can enable Haptic Feedback when typing in Settings.

And there's a whole lot more to the MathX iMessage app. You can learn about the details on the MathX iMessage App page.

Calculator Widget

Along with new iMessage app, MathX 2.3 also brings a completely new Widget. Our Calculator Widget is now available in the Today View and Quick Actions menu.

The full calculator is still available in the Today Widget. Just tap Show More in the upper-right corner.

So there it is. Go ahead and update to our latest version and enjoy our new extensions.

We hope you’ll enjoy using it, and don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any feedback via email, or on Twitter and Facebook.
