On November 2013, we launched MathX 1.0 on iPhone. It provided a fast and easy way to solve some mathematical operations. Over the past year, we've continued to improve MathX. We added Graphical Representation, sharing options, and several nice iOS 8 features. Today, my brother and I are incredibly excited to announce the release of MathX 2.0 for iPhone and iPad - a free update for all existing users.
That’s right, MathX is now a universal app. And this is not a quick conversion. We spent a lot of time creating a brand-new user interface to take full advantage of the iPad's screen. We've put all of the functionality and simplicity of MathX for iPhone on your iPad.
There are two new operations available in MathX. The first operation is a standard calculator that gives you instant answers as you type. If you make a mistake, you don't have to start again, you can edit your expression like in a text editor.
The second operation is something we had on our to-do list for a long time and we are really happy we are finally able to ship it. Matrix Operations allows you to add, subtract, and multiply matrices.
"We believe that technology has the power to transform the classroom" - Apple. We absolutely agree with this statement. When Apple introduced the iPad in 2010, we're still at university. So we saw how the iPad has changed the way we learn.
MathX 2.0 includes a set of educational tools. Now MathX lets you import your own formulas, theorems, and defintions which are synchronized between your devices using iCloud. And to make writing formulas easier, we have created a new technology called MaTeX. MathX supports also AirPlay Mirroring, so you can show graphs, formulas, and theorems on an external display.
A huge thanks to everyone especially Morgane, Benoît, Charlotte and our beta testers.
